Hiking Club: Mine & Saguaro Loop Trail
March 21 @ 8:00 am – 10:00 am

Location: Mine & Saguaro Loop (Granite Reef area)
Distance: Just under 3 miles
Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Meet Time: 8:00 AM at the trailhead
This month we’re heading out to the Mine & Saguaro Loop, a scenic 3-mile route along the south side of Granite Reef that climbs up Raccoon Bluff before looping back through the wash below.
The hike begins with a steady uphill stretch for about the first mile. From the top, you’ll get wide views — Red Mountain on one side and the East Valley stretching out on the other. After that, we’ll make our way downhill and follow the wash back toward the trailhead.
Expect a moderate incline at the start and uneven desert terrain throughout. Nothing overly technical, but good shoes with solid grip are recommended.
We’ll meet at the trailhead at 8:00 AM and move at a steady, conversational pace.
Bring water, sun protection, and anything you need to stay comfortable.
